Praise be to God, our beloved jurist, the eminent scholar, my master, Al-Tayyib bin Al-Yamani, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God support him. Here we have appointed a brilliant Qanwi teacher according to what was issued in the honorable speech, and his wage per day and provisions, but he needs a craftsman to help, and his wages per day and supplies are two mithqal per day between them and they need the entries of a book upon him tomorrow, its history, God willing, and upon love and peace, on the 9th of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1282 Idris. The lamp, praise be to God, and peace be upon our lover, and God’s mercy, with the presence of our Lord, may God support him, and after the command of our master, may God support him, more for the teacher and his maker than what they ride upon, and the face of the teacher, at the beginning of the afternoon, in possession of the letter of the trustees regarding their provisions, and it is necessary, and with love, peace, care, and the overseers there in Meknes, to clear the rent from the command of our master Al-Tayyib ibn Al-Yamani
