| Notes | Praise be to God alone, our love, Mr. Idris al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you in the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after I pay to the bearer the fodder for the horses who brought the heads of the zayyida and wheat for ten horses and a pair of mules. Peace be upon you on the 14th of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1255. The favorite is madness, with the permission of the Pasha, Sidi al-Tayyib al-Bayaz, may God grant him success. |
