Notes Praise be to God alone, our lover, the most honorable jurist, the earthly jurist, Sir Muhammad ibn Talib, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After that, the overseer, Mr. Hajj Al-Mu’ti Asfayra, informed me of the restrictions of imprisonment as wages, so they testified that the imprisonment had been imposed on his debtor and summoned them to us, so we ordered them to pay them. Then Mr. Muhammad Al-Dubli imposed on them the aforementioned wages and claimed that he had the wages not for the imprisonment, and that the notaries and the debtors said that the wages were for the imprisonment, not for him, and here they are. The restriction reaches you with his company, so we would love for you to view them and return them to us, and with love and peace. On the 22nd of Muharram 1278                I am in the highest position in God, my relief. Praise be to God, and upon you, the most pure peace and mercy of God be upon the best of our Lord, may God support him. After the prison restriction, we discussed it, and Mr. Muhammad al-Saqali, that he was charged and did not leave your home, and the relationship of imprisonment was cut off from him, so perhaps you will hear his claim that the wages are his and his remains. Followed by the enjoyment of imprisonment, and his statement testified that wages are among the things followed, so the statement is the statement of the observer, and what appeared to me is that imprisonment is built on the basis of Sharia.
