Notes Notes: 1_ Abd al-Qadir ibn al-Arabi ibn Shaqroun al-Miknasi compiled this request in response to a question composed in about 52 verses - printed at the beginning of this composition - by Sheikh al-Salih ibn al-Mu’ti al-Sharqi when he passed through Meknes in the year 1113 AH/1701 AD (Muhammad al-Akhdar, Literary Life during the Era of the Alawite State, pp. 207-209). 2_ On page 1 of the collection, the following is stated: “On the protection of the honorable, the earthly, the student, the intelligent, the clever, the most honorable, Moulay Ahmad bin Abd al-Karim al-Qadiri al-Hasani, may God protect him with his blessings at the Egyptian Press.” The typography of the collection is in Moroccan script.
