Notes
Praise be to God alone. The servant of our master Al-Mansour Billah, the jurist, the most uplifted, the most guiding leader, Si Idris Al-Sarraj, may peace and mercy be upon you in the presence of our Lord, grant him victory. May God know, Si Arrahmani, Hajj Al-Hamani, his grip, and here he is in prison, and we, Idris, if you want us to direct this to him, or he remains in prison, I mentioned, then your vision is wider, and at your service, greetings and peace. And to him on the 16th of Shaaban Al-Abarak in the year 1287, your servant, Hajj Belkacem Al-Sousi, may God fix him. Know, sir, that the new sheikh who took charge of Madshar Bani Amer wanted to enter into the tithes of wheat and oil with the sheikhs who were before him, and they all agreed to what you ordered regarding entry and exit, and your consideration and peace be upon him.
