Praise be to God alone. May the peace and blessings of God be upon our master Muhammad and his family, the eminent jurist, the venerable president, Hajj Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace and mercy of God Almighty be upon you. We love you. May God Almighty bless you. You will add to the books that are sent to the Most High with the clothing. It says, “And you will receive twenty crochets of the virtuous necklaces of the six and forty received from the Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Bargash. We intend to make the military clothing.” So we made twenty-six of them as a bundle for covering the band, and I sent the rest to you, but they only know it for the covering of the alliance, the tall, zambian, the khaya [the earth]. Isn’t it only made for the wire, and I sent it to them for fear that they would stop at it, and you see us making it with the loads of the covering as a roll to be carried by a donkey, the beasts of rent and peace. 28 Jumada 78.
