The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is a second explanation of the blessed poem that the master of the elixir craft spoke about, and its virtue appeared to him in the path of chemistry extracted from knowledge and his saying, Praise be to you, etc. (...) God Almighty praised Al-Nazim, may God be pleased with him.
End of the manuscript: Then if you want the copper to turn into silver, grind it and cut it like nails, and throw one eighth of a flower and it will become of the highest quality and calibre, and it will not be exposed by fire or selection.
