The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God. His saying, “Make frequent mention of the destroyer of pleasures,” is by anagramming the “dhal” in meanings and neglecting it in tangible things. It says, “I demolished the wall by neglecting the signifier, and God demolished His glory” by anagramming it. Among them is Khalil’s statement in Al-Mukhtasar: “And the marriage captivity is undone.”
End of the manuscript: Praise be to God, we received from Sayyid Abd al-Baqi bin Sawda at the end of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1288 this (...) I began to receive this every month (...) from the teacher Ibn Huyur in the house opposite the Abu al-Jinwa Mosque from al-Jinwa in Sha’ban in the year 1289.
