Notes Praise be to God alone and may God’s prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family. May God preserve the position of the Pasha and the Commander of the Blessing, Sir Idris Al-Sarraj. Peace be upon you, and mercy and blessings be upon you, for the best of our protectors, may God grant him victory. And after, I received your books, and I read them and learned what was in them. I complied with your order to pay the tenth of the dhimmi to the Sheikh of the Commons, as you mentioned to me, and I paid it to him with abandonment, just as I took it first, and I wrote disavowal of it, and what you mentioned to me about what came from me due to my ignorance, and I considered it, is true, and here we are, I have repented, and God repents. On the one who repents, and we love you from God, and for the reward of your grace, do not help us in releasing that man from the bonds of prison, and you are ashamed of what I have sent you in the pious books, but your merciful side does not look at greed while he prostrates himself, so look at what he has permitted, may God have mercy on you, and what you have done to him is sufficient for you in terms of politeness, for that is enough to rebuke him and comply with him. May you always be well, may you always be well, and may you always be in love, service, obedience, and peace, and on the 25th of Shawwal Al-Abarak in the year 1278 Muhammad bin Abdul Qadir Al-Halimi, may God bless him and grant him peace
