Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions. Oh God, I beg of you through your Prophet, our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, whose head you made of guidance, his eyebrows of iron, his eyes of light, his hearing of obedience, his nose of asceticism, his mouth of wisdom, his teeth of pearls, his tongue of truthfulness, his beard of contentment, his neck of submission, his hand of generosity, his chest of life, and his heart of Salvation, his liver of compassion, his vision of serenity, his mill of reverence, his stomach of contentment, his overflow of piety, his complexion of infallibility, and his feet of uprightness. It was narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “Whoever attains this quality after the evening prayer, God will write for him a thousand proofs, as if he freed a thousand slaves for the sake of God Almighty, and it is as if he had sealed the Qur’an with a thousand seals. I seek goodness in the best of existence. Poverty is an unbearable thing.” And with it the embrace is humiliated. What you have will be exhausted. What God has will remain
