Notes
Praise be to God, our earthly love, the friendliest leader, my relief. Peace and mercy of God be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After that, our Lord Al-Mansour wrote to us regarding the bishop with what he investigated in Sharif’s book, so he read it and returned it to us. We have calculated the period here in this matter, such that there is no butcher or anyone else left. No one of the sources here has been able to determine the matter, so we would like to take into account it. The people of Dhimmah and butchers there sell every animal of cows to the sheep for a tenth. Mouzanat and the flags after the matter is decided, and God must bless you to write the stories for our Lord. May God support him with reality and with love and peace and hasten the eighth of Ramadan in the year 1280. Idris al-Sarraj Praise be to God alone, our beloved and earthly jurist, Mr. Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After we have looked at the book of the noble Mawlawi, may God name him and grant him glory in deciding the fate of those mentioned in it, and here it is. We returned it to you with the holder, and you indicated that we should settle its matter with Fez al-Ulaiyah, just as we decided its matter with Fez al-Bali. We have settled its matter, as you indicated, around it, and on love and peace, and in history around it. And the runner-up of high status, in God, my relief.
