Notes
Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, our master Al-Basha, the most glorious jurist, the happiest, my master Muhammad ibn Talib, may God help you and guide you, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the best of our master, may God grant him victory. After that, we were directed to Marrakesh in the process of serving our master Al-Mansour Billah for six months, as is the custom, and the usual period has passed, so we want you to write to our master from the perfection of your benevolence. And you tell him that instead of us and do not ignore us. May God bless you and be yours for what he was with, and there is no protector in him, and we are in the disgrace of God and a fight because you are the most pity of people for the weak like us. May God bless you with a long life from Him, Amen. May you always be well. May peace be upon you on the 18th of Qa’dah al-Haram in the year 1276. Our Lord, may God support him, and after a generous break, our Lord, the supporter of God, learned of what the secretary who had taken over the command of his service in the protected city of Marrakech had written, and we responded with honorable response to act according to it. And peace be upon him, Muhammad bin Talib. Praise be to God, and peace be upon you, in the presence of our Lord the Imam. And then see, instead of him, he heads as his successor, and that is the order of our Lord, may God support him, and peace be upon you, the good Yemeni.
