Notes Praise be to God alone, our earthly lover and servant of our master, the most honorable and the leader, Sir Muhammad ibn Talib. May God grant you security, peace, and may God’s mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God support him. And after arriving to you with the bearer, Mr. Muhammad the Little Donkey, a thousand eighty-two mithqals and five weighed ounces of counting, their homes are our honorable masters, the children of our Lord in Tafilalt, may God honor them. So pay the aforementioned dirhams to the merchants with an ax and collect his lines from them by paying the honorable ones. This is with Taflalat, love and peace, and on the 17th of Rajab in the year 1275, and the summer of high status, in God, my relief.
