Notes
Praise be to God, our love and servant of our earthly Lord, the jurist, the prophet, the wisest, the leader, Sidi Muhammad ibn Talib, may God protect you and protect you. After its owner, Abdul Qadir al-Muhtari, he brought a female mare to this presence and loaded grains on it to sell it here. When he sold the face of the female and male mare after he bought a saddle and put it on her with a brother of his, they arrested her for him and prevented him from her, and the one who captured her claimed that he had bought her, so we would love for you to release her to him, out of love. And peace be upon the 15th of Safar in the year 1274 and the successor of Maulana Farji, may God grant him peace. Praise be to God and to our earthly lover who asked, and may God have mercy on the goodness of our Maulana Al-Mansour, by God. And after they were two knights, not one horse, and he remained steadfast in them, for whoever told you he deceived you, and what you have proven about them, let us know about it. And peace be upon Muhammad Ibn Talib. Praise be to God and peace be upon you, and may God’s mercy be upon you. We learned from him that he bought it, so we love you to order that he will pay it to him with its saddle. Oh God, the possession is good. With love and peace, the success of Maulana Farji, may God protect him.
