Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions. Our master the jurist. The best term. The Pasha, Sidi Idris al-Sarraj. May God grant you success, peace, and God’s mercy be upon you. May God bless him and grant him peace. We have reached the happiest of the Mawlawi’s adjutants. We have reached the happiest of the Mawlawi’s decrees in the matter of what our master ordered. May he continue to be pleased with the omission of what was obligatory for the people of the corner to give the duties. We reviewed it and finished what was included in it for the notables of the place. So they approved of your action and were pleased with it. May God reward you well on our behalf and keep you as a treasure for us. The notables ask your Excellency, through your grace, to bestow upon them the Noble Book, which they will cling to as a blessing for the honorable masters of our Lord, and to keep it under their control for what may come in the future. And do not hide from your knowledge the benefit that this entails, and for your love, complete service, peace, and Safar in the year 1282 your successor, Hajj Hadd bin Al-Ayyashi.
