Praise be to God alone and may God’s prayers and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family, our beloved, the dearest and most earthly jurist, Mr. Muhammad bin Al-Mufaddal Al-Sarraj. May God grant you peace, peace, and God’s mercy, for the goodness of our Master Adam, may He be glorified and exalted. And after we received your letter that the cistern in Boutweel Al-Qarawiyyin is a hermitage for the women to enter, which was, he carried it out for the sheikh of the community, Sidi Ahmed Bennani Al-Maduk, and the children of those after him, including the jurist, Sayyed Al-Hajj Al-Qayyim. His life was recorded in the Scientific Council and the curator after him was his son, Mr. Ahmed. After the death of this man, your cousin’s wife and her son from him remained in the house until the ruler of the villagers appointed the governor and forced her to live with one of the two muezzins. As you explained in your book, we wrote to the superintendent inquiring about this, and he replied that when the aforementioned Mr. Ahmed died, his wife started renting some places to others and benefited from the rent and did not pay anything in addition to this imprisonment. Are there any noble apparitions under the hand of the aforementioned woman who support this? Whether we live in the aforementioned house or not, and if so, direct it to us so that it may appear.
