The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, praise be to the thankful... As for what follows... Muhammad Sibt Al-Mardani Al-Muqaqit Al-Shafi’i... There is nothing better in calculating astronomical works than the method of calculating the sexagesimal ratio, which is the one used in our time... And I did not find a satisfactory introduction to this art other than the introduction of our sheikh, the scholarly Imam, the scholar Shihab al-Din Ahmad al-Majdi... which is called “Revealing the Truths in Calculating the Derg and the Minutes”... So I wanted to summarize a sufficient and useful introduction from it... I called it “The Facts in Calculating the Derg” The minutes are arranged in an introduction, ten chapters, and a conclusion
The end of the manuscript: The tenth chapter on knowing the scale... The conclusion is in the Mu’tāturfa of modifying the two parts... if it is minutes and fourths if it is thirds, as you learned at the beginning of the chapter, and the numbers of the individual levels have no definite value other than this, and the rest of them are approximated..........
