Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and upon the lordship of our master the jurist, the eminent Pasha, Sidi Idris al-Sarraj, the most sincere peace, greetings, and honor, and after we have reached the dearest, your books and our understanding are included in the matter of the yield of Paradise of Ayat Ihsyan. The fifty mithqals that you received are only one year’s yield. As for the yield of the rest of the past years, I do not enter into it for Al-Suqairi, but rather it is his liability that is limited as it is witnessed. With the enclosed drawing and what remains on it, he takes it with him when he presents it, because he wanted to communicate with the heirs of Sidr and present himself to you to the trustees to clear his responsibility for what he has committed, and with love and peace, on Shawwal 11, 1285, your successor, Ali Al-Mazkiti.
