The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God, to whom there is no blessing except from Him (...) And then he says (...) Muhammad Al-Arabi bin Muhammad Al-Hashimi Al-Zarhouni Al-Azouzi (...) When I was dealing with fatwas in this Idrisiya, may God Almighty surround her with His blessings, I fell into my hand at that time, many fatwas and useful answers, most of them in the handwriting of their masters, whose names are declared in its issues and chapters, so I recorded what I could. In the papers (...), I liked to record them all and arrange them in a wonderful order.
The end of the manuscript: As for the proceeds of dates, if they are divided, they are not permissible for a large amount, and they are not permissible by drawing lots with due diligence, and God knows best, and Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Qasmatini wrote, may God be kind to him. It ended, thank God (...) on the first of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1316. It ended.
