Notes	Praise be to God alone. May God’s prayers be upon the one after whom there will be no prophet. Our beloved in God, the jurist, the eternal blessing, the best leader, Mr. Idris al-Sarraj. May God protect you, may God’s peace be upon you, and may God’s mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. Then know, may God protect you, that we have a house with the Banu Junad like ours, and our family is like our family. They came to God’s mercy and left behind two sons who are called the children of Si al-Faqih. As for the younger one, he will join you with the pregnant woman, and as for the older one, Sheikh Al-Tuhami took power over you and went to his house and took his wife, the daughter of the aforementioned sheikh, out of it and contained all of the house against the transgressor and the injustice. When this happened to him, he came to us and asked us to speak with the aforementioned sheikh to return his wife and his belongings to him. I came to him and trusted him with that. He promised us that he would come to our presence and discuss with him. Then he came to us and we talked to him again, but we were to no avail. We found that he only wanted the separation that agreed with his purpose, so we left the matter as it was for days. And when time had passed and he did not recant his injustice, we sent the aforementioned boy to slaughter a sacrifice for him, but he did not pay any attention to him. When the sheikh heard that we wanted to direct him to you to complain about what had happened to him, he was arrested and imprisoned in a corner, causing him to give a debtor of barley or thirty ounces to the non-Muslim, a dhimmi, even though he had nothing owed to him. Rather, he wanted to deceive him and oppress him only to take his possessions, and we refrained from writing to you, so that he might return from his injustice. And he released him, but he did not pay attention to him, and here he is still imprisoned, so we love you, God loves you, that you release him and do not leave him to this oppressor, for he is released, and he comes to you and explains to you what happened to him, on the condition that the Sheikh knows your good behavior with the Zarahnah and others. May God bless you and perpetuate your glory and existence and love and peace on the 4th of Hajj al-Haram 1284. The earthly Arab, may God be kind to him.
