The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, a copy of Sharif Sultani’s book written by our master Imam Al-Hammam Abu Al-Rabi’ Moulay Suleiman during his death illness in order to reveal the matter of his brother’s son, the holy Sultan Moulay Abd al-Rahman, and he wrote in his own handwriting and its text is: Praise be to God, when I saw what happened of atheism in religion and the takeover of the land of the Muslims by the immoral people, and Omar said that if we follow them, we will follow them in ways that we do not approve of.
The end of the manuscript: And whoever follows others will follow strife and misguidance, and beware of the people, the children of Yazid, as my father warned. He who followed him and his children saw how he fought against darkness, and the call of my father followed him. As for me, my strength has weakened, my bones have weakened, and my head has burned with gray hair. Suleiman bin Muhammad (...) responded to Fez on Rabi` al-Awwal 27, 1238.
