The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is the fifth part of the Umdat Al-Rawine fi Tarikh Tataouine by the jurist Abi Al-Abbas Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Rahuni (...) Then I said: So is the Sultan of knowledge and guidance ** and the pole of the circle of excellence in a sentence and the relief of the wilderness from all calamities ** and the garden of goodness, goodness and pleasure.
The end of the manuscript: (Sidi Muhammad al-Tahami al-Bakali). He was succeeded by his son, the righteous saint al-Majzoub al-Sahih, Sidi Muhammad, who died, may God have mercy on him, in the year 1348. With it, the sixth part of the Umdat al-Raween in the History of Tataouine by Abd Rabbuh Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Rahuni was completed.
