The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) The book Revealing Secrets about the Rule of Birds and Flowers, written by (...) Izz Al-Din Ibn Abdul Salam Praise be to God who is far away in his nearness and near in his distance (...) And then I looked with the eye of investigation and saw with the light of success that every creature in the presence of the Creator and every walker in reality speaks (...) and I wrote this book in translation of what I learned from animals with their symbol and inanimate objects with their wink and what the flowers spoke to me with their tongue and the blackbirds from their place. Its journey is called revealing secrets about the rule of birds and flowers.
The end of the manuscript: The path of love is difficult *** It cuts the limbs. Besides bitterness, it is sweet *** It lightens the burdens. If you are the meaning of “aqna (such and such) *** then you have set an example. If you understand my symbols *** I offer and reduce. The book ended with the praise of God.
