The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, who says Abdullah Almighty Muhammad bin Abdul Salam Al-Fasi (...) I was presented with a card that included twenty-two questions, some of which related to readings, some related to drawing, and some related to others. Its owner asked me to answer him with what I had of its meaning, so I apologized to him because I had a physical illness that prevented me from considering such a thing, despite the length of the question and the need for a lot of explanation.
The end of the manuscript: The twenty-second question: Why did the readers of the time indulge in leniency regarding the rulings on pausing, so they dwell on the letters that are paused at the end of the words, and some of them claim that making the connection in the same way as the pausing is linguistically permissible, based on the text of Al-Mulfiyyah and others (...) There are two views on this, by Sheikh Ibn Abi Zaid and his followers, and by Al-Khami and his followers, so let whoever wants it consider it in Al-Hattab, and God Almighty knows what is correct, and to Him is the return and the return. It ended with praise to God and His good help and beautiful success. There is no power or strength except in God, the Most High, the Great.
