Notes Praise be to God, the amount that the superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin and its mosques and schools have since then been restricted in terms of lime supplies and necessities, as mentioned below. On the 8th of Hajjah Haram in the year 1314, in the rent of a builder, two servants, soil, and a bank to change the chapel of Bab Al-Sharia........0108 in the rent of a bricklayer, two servants, and a bank to whitewash the chapel of Bab Al-Fath...0080 in the rental of Hamar 4, a judge, a servant, and a waqif of the contract. And the rubbish................................... 00137 in the wages of 34 including the upholsterer and the prison agent................................................... 0119 in the wages of two teachers, plasterers, kneaders, servants, a sound rent, a utensil, and a load of plaster for 0044 quintals for draining all of the cups with a retainer and the price of gypsum for 4 quintals for the mosque, its front right, 0283 in the price of a lime (cut) as of the last day. Monday is the opening of the historian’s argument with him and the geez 543 on thirds of its price.. 15385 in the price of a pound of nail for a hotel house twenty loads of wood from it............................................00018 Sixteen hundred mithqals, thirty-seven mithqals, and five uqiyas were gathered in the above basar, all of which came out from the hand of the observers above. Our feast in the above date is Abd Rabbuh.    To all of the above was added the price of 5 quintals of lime and an eighth of a load of sand, and sixteen million of the contents were gathered.
