Notes The beginning of the manuscript: This is the explanation of the aforementioned poem known as Al-Waqadiya. He said, “Take 1 piece of pure white alum after it has been stabilized, that is, burn it on people, 2 pieces of gunpowder salt after it has been dissolved, filtered, and knotted, and mix them with a good crush until they become one thing, and mix them with a little vinegar and put them in a tangier. End of the manuscript: And also leave it for an hour, for it will be tied. Repeat it like this, untying and knotting, until it softens and becomes like shortened wax or like a dram, so take a weight of six dirhams from it and throw them on 7 pounds of purified tin, as well as a flower and a peace (...) and greet it with salutations.
