Notes The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, an accounting record created by the overseer of Al-Ahbas at the time, the trustworthy merchant Haj Abd al-Qadir ibn al-Tajer al-Hajj al-Mahdi Bennani, with the clerk, Sidi Muhammad ibn Hamad al-Salawi, on what was completed in his hand in six consecutive months (...) for Al-Qarawiyyin, its course, which is in his hand, and on what happened to it regarding its supplies and necessities with the permission of the aforementioned supervisor, and it was recorded on 11 Rajab 1268. The end of the manuscript: Al-Mutagmal by Al-Qarawiyyin, with the graduation of Sidi Muhammad Al-Salawi in five months (...) on the first of Muharram, the conqueror of the year 1282 (...) he fulfills it. They knew his destiny, witnesses to it in its entirety, and he knew them, and at the end of Muharram, the conqueror of the year two hundred and eighty-two thousand. Font type: fine compact Moroccan.
