Notes
Praise be to God alone, our dearest love and the conclusion of our response. The happiest servant of our master, the leader, Muhammad ibn Talib. May God grant you success, may God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord. May God sustain his presence and victory for us, and after by virtue of his renewal of the covenant with him. Asking about all your conditions. Praise be to God. He is a fit husband. As for his name, the most honorable honor from us to you and acceptance from you, and of what is due to be reported to you. A man who was hanging out for you one day passed by our wedding and found in it the lamps of our belongings and our companions. You did to them. Heedlessness and theft, you rode the saddle, and after that, he returned to them what had taken his name, Idris, nicknamed Al-Farra’. We love you to arrest him and rebuke him so that others will traffic in him, and we love you. Peace be upon you, on the 5th of Jumada Al-Ula in the year 1275 Al-Amer bin Idris, may God protect him.
