Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings be upon our Master Muhammad and his family, the earthly jurist, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj, may God grant you long life, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Master, may God grant him victory. We have reached your dearest letter, what was passed under our guidance with the dignitaries of the group for your honor, and the other group still has not appointed a sheikh for it, because Hajj al-Tuhami, who seeks sheikhdom, is a man strong in evil and temptation, and neither we nor you have any interest in his old age. We were afraid that if we all came, you would not appoint Sheikh Franja. Disagreements and arguments would arise and there would be a lot of talk there. Therefore, we would like, out of your full grace, with its arrival to you, for you to write the book of sheikhdom for Mr. Amhamed bin Musa and address it to him with Makhzani so that he can read it to them in the madshar, as it befits us and you. After Makhzani arrives and the appointment of those mentioned to the sheikhship, we present to you urgently. This is what you must be informed of. May God bless you for us.
