The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Ya'la Al-Hasani says (...) Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds (...) And after that, the purpose of this book is to explain the words of the introduction by Sheikh (...) Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Daoud Al-Sanhaji Al-Jaromi (...) as it is a blessed introduction to what he wrote in the science of grammar (...) and I called it the grammatical jewel in the explanation of Al-Jarumiyya.
The end of the manuscript: in that they did not intend to separate, and God Almighty knows best. He is sufficient for us and the best disposer of affairs (...) and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds. The completion of this blessed explanation was on the eve of the third day, twenty-seven days into the month of God, Dhul-Hijjah, at the hands of its writer (...)
