Praise be to God, our lover and servant of our earthly master, Commander Muhammad ibn Talib. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God Almighty be upon you. Forty-two heads of cows will be returned to you, and Commander Abd al-Qadir al-Ursi al-Zammouri has responded to you. Our Lord, may God grant him victory, give them to the muhtasib who will sell them. Let their sale be according to what appears to you. Who will sell it standing or slaughter it and sell it for meat? Your consideration depends on what is best and most guided. Peace be upon Safar 4, 1274. Muhammad Al-Saffar, may God grant him success
