Notes
Praise be to God alone, our earthly lover and the servant of our Lord, the blessed, the good, the Murtada, the leader, Muhammad ibn Talib. May God grant you success and may God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you in the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And here we have directed our cousin to be our helper with him in capturing the children of Ajana al-Tin. They were highly praised by the people of Bab al-Futuh, and they arrested them and strengthened their splendor with what they found of the hayek who were shopping there in the district of al-Qadr al-Kamer, and may God protect them. They were busy with this before, and two of them were arrested before. In the imprisonment of our Lord and under his hands, and they will achieve happiness, our Lord, may God bless him. Your helpers must be directed with our friend so that he will be with him in arresting all of them who are found and leave them under the prison. This must happen while we are brothers and on love, our honorable Lord, our helpers and on love and peace. On the 24th of Rabi’ 2 in the year 1273 servant of the high station in God, Ahmad Al-Himyar Al-Ulyani, may God grant him peace.
