Notes Praise be to God, the superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin and all the mosques and schools at that time, namely, the two eminent and faithful eminent fathers, Al-Muhtasib, Sidi Muhammad Al-Mufaddal bin Al-Baraka Al-Muneim, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj, and the merchant, Al-Sayyid Al-Haj Ahmed bin Al-Amin, the son of the late Al-Sayyid Al-Haj Al-Arabi Al-Sharat, bear witness that they took possession of the land, the student, Sidi Muhammad Al-Hamimi, who provided for him, appointed for him a receipt from the endowments of the aforementioned confinement, forty-five riyals from the mint, and released him from their aforementioned possessors, knowing their value. He bore witness to it against them in full, according to their custom, and each of them established it on the twenty-eighth of Sacred Mosque in the year one thousand and three hundred and fourteen.
