Notes Praise be to God alone, our beloved jurist and best lord, Sir Idris al-Sarraj, may God grant you success and may peace be upon you for the goodness of our Lord, may God support him. Then, the one mentioned in the tora, you ordered me to direct him to your council, arrested with the second mentioned with him, if he left the sanctuary, so I delayed directing the first in the hope of arresting the second. Then, the honorable Sidi Muhammad bin Ahmed al-Idrisi, the two defendants, came from Fez with his mule and entered from the separator of the one who was arrested with him with eighty mithqals, so he gave it to him in his mule. He was exonerated from every lawsuit and accusation, and he is still imprisoned. We ask you for permission to release him. With love and peace, Ramadan 16, 1284. Your successor, Hajj Hadd bin Al-Ayashi Al-Jilani bin Omar Boujdah, Ould bin Al-Hafiz. Praise be to God. And from him, Amr, with Ahmad Al-Amari, was imprisoned as his custodian for a period of about three months or more in Al-Zawiya prison, leaving him hungry, naked, and extremely lost, so that he did not check on him, not by a little or by a lot, even if it were not for the food he received. At our hands, he died of hunger since then, and he continues to do so until now. I wrote to him, not ordering him to be released or sold, but he did not care about him in any way or form, and it was necessary to consider your notifications to take advantage of the good deeds of this servant. May God reward you and peace, Caliph Hajj Hadd.
