Notes Praise be to God, our faithful love, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj. May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, with the presence of our master, may God support him. Then, my master, may God bless him, orders you to pay to Commander Faraji the fodder of sixty-one horses, at the expense of three at a time, and the fodder of twenty tares at the expense of four at a time. He arranged for them to do so, while keeping the fodder of the two descriptions as they were before, and he was promised carpentry at the end of the month. Our Lord has continued to work until he orders it to be cut. Peace be upon him, the first of Rabi’ al-Thani in the year 1261. Muhammad bin Idris, may God bless him
