40 riyals. Praise be to God. The superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin and all the mosques and schools at that time, namely the two eminent and honorable trustees, Sidi Muhammad Al-Mufaddal bin Al-Baraka Al-Muneim, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj, and the merchant, Mr. Hajj Ahmed bin the late trustee, Mr. Hajj Al-Arabi Al-Sharat, bear witness that they took possession of the land from the demanding land holder, Mr. Al-Ghali Ibn Zakri, and provided forty riyals in kind for what he was assigned to receive from the endowments of the aforementioned confinement, and released him from their possession mentioned in it. They knew its value, which he testified against them. The entirety of them and their custom and the erection of each on the twenty-eighth of its value is forbidden in the year one thousand fourteen and three hundred
