Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions, our lover and servant of our master the leader Al-Asaad, Mr. Idris bin Al-Hajj Abd al-Rahman al-Sarraj. Peace and mercy of God be upon you, on behalf of the best of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And then, bringing to you the good Almoravid, the presenter of the Hamzawi corner, Mr. Abd al-Rahman bin al-Sayyid Ahmad, and his cousin, the jurist, Mr. Abd al-Wahhab, both of whom are good and righteous people. He wanted to go to Fez. We have received the letters from us for you to keep in mind and we recommend them well. A disgrace befell them, for there was a man from their cousins who was accusing them of injustice, as he was before with the father of Sayyid Abd al-Rahman al-Muqaddam, until the news of it reached our master, may God grant him victory, so he rebuked him and kept him away from them. Since he died, Muqaddam was the guardian of his son, according to the testimony of the people of their corner and their neighbors, including the barbarians and honorable people, the people of Madghara and others, and that he was the guardian there of his family and his wife, and he left behind. If he arrived there, perhaps harm would come to him from his cousin, so we wrote to you so that you would be mindful of him, no more. We wish him well and peace. On Shawwal 27, 1289, Moulay Rachid, may God bless him.
