The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) The writer said: I found written what was mentioned about some righteous people, may God be pleased with them and benefit us from them, and he is Sidi Ali bin Wafa. He was in Egypt, and the King of Turkey came out with soldiers, the number of which no one knows except God. He sent a letter to the King of Egypt, which read: Praise be to God alone, from the King of Turkey to the King of Egypt.
The end of the manuscript: He left and returned to Cairo, and he was given a mule with twelve white silver domes on it, and he sent someone to deliver it to him. A little while, God gave him power over the daughter of a king whose kingdom was ruined by the supplications of the righteous, and peace be upon whoever stands upon him, and the mercy and blessings of God Almighty. What I found is over, praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
