The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This article was transmitted in the Holy Stone, which is poetry, in the pillars of the sun and the moon, and in the contract of the servant Ali Al-Qalai and Al-Hadid, from the book Al-Durr Al-Nazim in the Benefits of the Great Qur’an by Judge Abu Abdullah Al-Wadnashi (sic), may God have mercy on him, Amen. Praise be to God, and whoever wants to gain access to the science of chemistry, which is a science hidden from most people, should purify himself.
The end of the manuscript: Then there was a blueberry in it, so throw it on it while it was melting in the powder, deep in the virgin glass mentioned above (...) so Spike emptied it and made of it whatever you wanted, God willing. I finish.
