Notes
Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. The jurist, the blessing, the long term, the best, the most honest, the best, the honorable and noble Pasha, Sir Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. On the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. Then the most honorable one arrived your letter, commanding him to possess what he had borrowed from Al-Tara, Si Hajj Boujnane Benaissa. When it arrived at me, I stood at the foot of the grandfather in requesting it until the aforementioned representative of the pilgrim was able to carry out the mule, the harness, the cover, and the umbrella. Or otherwise, he claimed that he had an ax, and here is my friend’s company heading to you and the people, and had it not been for your dearest letter in his past commanding us to appreciate his value and honor his resting place, you would not have known his condition, and then he did not come to us without us appreciating his value in compliance with your dearest command, and we do not neglect his side, neither in barley nor in his supplies. Yesterday, history was about 5 supplies of barley for fodder for the animals of his companions. And for service and peace, I will pay my friend in his storehouse if he appears. On the 12th of Rabi’ al-Thani, 1280 AH, your successor, Mr. Muhammad, may God protect him
