Notes
Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, our beloved earthly friend, and the servant of my lord Al-Murtada Al-Pasha, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj. May God’s security, peace, and God’s mercy be upon you for the goodness of my lord Nasrah, and after the loss of a tax collector for the property of Al-Ghazi bin Al-Omar, to someone who has knowledge of him, he found with him in the corner of the Idrisiya a floor of the crossing, (an anchorage with a hole), a bunch of chin, and half a bunch of olives. The marina was claimed by the usurer to be vacant and nothing remained in it except a barley barn with about the size of the companionship. He had many properties in Bani Ammar in Bani Ammar with olives, and this is what the people of Al-Zawiya claimed. I informed you that you would be mindful and of love and peace. On the 23rd of Ramadan in the year 1289, Ali Al-Mazkiti.
