Notes And after that, they belong to the Great Sovereignty. Our Lord called him God when he honored me to collect the attendants of his high abode with God. God, at his time and the high refineries of Fez, issued his honorable order that we should adhere to him and walk according to his hardship with the Shami al-Muhtasib. When each one of us adheres to what he is bound to and stands by him and the bearers of his chapters, he commanded me, may God support him, to assign to each craft a custodian and to take to the shops of High Fez a fifth of what is sold in the two halls. He took what was sufficient next to the storeroom from the masters and entrusted me to look into it and what was returned to the station and the bushel and the stock. I complied with everything he ordered, may God support him at the honorable border, so I appointed a porter in the oil court and a guarantor with the publican appointed by the Shami, one hand in the hall and the presses. Then the Shami delayed and brought someone else with iron dirhams, so the seller and the buyer began to complain about him until his betrayal was proven by duty, so the worker arrested him. Then I informed the honorable side, so he ordered, God supported him, and if he was appointed to carry Atara Abbar, Thani Al-Shami, in the other shops from him, so I appointed him and stayed with him until Al-Shami delayed him today, and that servant brought him to prove his treason, and he prevented us from the fifth of the performance that represents Upper Fez, and the shops there remained empty, and we prevented us from any control of what was sold in the two halls, so the price order in them became based on the one who knows the increase and decrease, and he began to seek the honorable supplies and the harm of the taxpayers, so he went to a grocer in the shop of the one responsible for the duties of the house. And I struck him with an unjustified beating that deserved it, until he was on the verge of death, and on the eve of what is usually impossible, and I struck a teacher who is charged with the sweetness of the seasons that we make for the high abode of God with a painful beating, and he was prevented from serving us, and someone who serves us has the same honorable supply of flour from happy mills. No, my master commanded me that we take for this falsehood an innkeeper, or more of what he searched for, to carry out the burden of food, so how many people are left to serve in it as an innkeeper, for all who come are murderers. To serve by it, he is contrived by him, and by him the media is appointed, and upon the honorable of service, and after the honorable one has arrived in your book, an order about it, may God tempt you. We have explained what was available under the hand of the one who imprisoned the jurist, the minister, may God have mercy on him, and the number of towns guarded by me in this blessed year, and the beasts of plowing, and other everything that is on his part, so we complied with him and proceeded to count what he mentioned and others, making them cows, sheep, mares, and other things, and we will make a determination, with God’s permission, to explain this in a chapter. And its accessories and its fasteners, yes, confinement this blessed year. We ask Your Excellency, after finishing the studies, by God’s will, if it does not come now to count them now, and here is the honorable service and peace. He is the one authorized in his lamp. He gave me permission to buy the nuts from others. With his horse, we complied with him, and as soon as he arrived, we proceeded to count the remaining wheat for the monthly supplies that I am still paying, and others in the books, what is paid for it, and to count the other grains and the crops that are next to him, and the farms, and to count the mares and cows, the ones paid for their purchase, and the possessions from others for the bachelor who is in Khaulan. We will immediately impose a fine, God willing, explaining all of that, inside and outside, with a bulb and its supplies. Yes, this year’s grains are still standing with their fields. We needed Al-Sair to count and transmit it, but I could not do it before asking him to implement it. So I ask Your Excellency, may God bless you, to implement it for them for Al-Sair to collect what he mentioned. When the study is finished, with God’s permission, we will also direct its calculation and the number of grains that were obtained, so his specialists will come now. May the honorable serve and peace.
