In the first of his manuscripts, the nazim mentioned that he was “Ali al-Baysusi,” a student of Ahmad ibn Ahmad al-Suja’i al-Misri (d. 1197 AH, 1783 AD), according to what was stated in “Al-Khutat al-Tawfiqiyyah, Ali Mubarak, vol. 11, pp. 9-12.” Ismail Pasha Al-Baghdadi translated his work in “Hidayat Al-Arifeen, vol. 1, p. 769” and mentioned a book of his entitled “Al-Nafha Al-Zakiyah fi Al-Amal in Al-Habbiyyah Region, which was completed in the year 1184, one hundred and one thousand and eighty-four.”
