Notes	Praise be to God alone, our lover and servant of our earthly and commanding Lord, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj. May God grant you success, may God’s peace be upon you, and may God’s mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. And after that, our Lord the Caliph, may God honor him, ordered the investigation of a case, which is that our Lord Al-Mansur Billah, when a situation was happening in Dar Al-Dhabibigh, went out on a Friday and found women from Fez on the bank of his valley, and he ordered, may God help him, to stop them from doing so. If his honorable order was issued to you, then inform us so that we may know the knowledge of our Lord, may God protect him. In truth, with love and peace, and on the 16th of Qa’dah al-Haram in the year 1289, Hajj Salih al-Tadali, may God grant him success. Praise be to God, after the due occasion, in the position of our Lord, the Caliph, may God honor him. Our Lord, may God protect him, knows that what al-Muhtasib mentioned above is what he taught us about, and from him he taught us what directs the honorable command to protect them.
