Notes
Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our Master Muhammad and his family, our master, the jurist, the trustworthy, the best, the wise judge, Sir Idris Al-Sarraj. May God protect you and take care of you, and may peace be upon you with mercy and continued well-being in the presence of our Master Al-Mansour, by God. Then let it be generous. Our master’s knowledge that Bani Ammar returned to us a hundred sheep, twenty sheep, and nine heads of goats after they had replaced the large one with a small one and the small one with a large one, or a cow or a heifer, and the ditches They returned fifty-seven sheep, including four heads of males, after they had exchanged the same, and the number of sheep is with our master. Look at it to see what is left with them and our master does what he decided. They returned it to you, Bin Qasim, and for the continued love and service of our master. On the 29th of Shaban in the year 1271, peace be upon Meccan Musawi, may God grant him success.
