Notes Praise be to God, after peace be upon the student, Mr. Muhammad ibn al-Talib, and may God’s mercy be upon the best of our Lord, may God support him. Know that the commander, Ahmad al-Himyar, wrote to our master to intercede on behalf of Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Maluki from Ayala, who bought the horse and seized it. His horse was directed to the warehouse, so our master accepted his intercession for the aforementioned prisoner and ordered us to write to you to release him. As for the horse, you lost it, and it was paid to the storehouse and peace on the 15th of Sha’ban in the year 1274. Muhammad Al-Saffar, may God grant him success
