Notes
Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family, our master and our brother, the caretaker of souls. May the good fortune of many people, happiness and joys arise from the increase of his wealth. He shone with the light of knowledge and noble morals. The horizon of my Arab master is still protected by the rains. The days are with the eyes of help and aid and assistance. You are not useless from God’s abundance except ink. Your glory continues to increase. May the peace of Karim bin Amim know of our longing. May God’s mercy and blessings be upon you in every situation. There is nothing more than what hides you from keeping the old affection and being good at the covenant and complaint between you, which has reached the point, and God is my effort, except for the facilitation. We, praise be to God, are well and well. We hope that God will provide us with a connection and to abrogate for us a chapter. Indeed, according to what He wills, He is All-Powerful and His reckoning is from the high to the worthy. Peace be upon you on the 5th of Dhul-Qa’dah in the year 1314. Idris bin Al-Arabi, may God be kind to him. I wrote with my tears. I live for his letters. I have felt the wound of your absence and separation. I wish my hair had reached the point of connection like yours. I wish my end would meet the beloved.
