The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Ahmed Baba Al-Tanbukti said (...) Praise be to God alone (...) And then, some of the students who love God Almighty stopped me in Daraa, may God protect us and him, on a long question from some of the virtuous people of the era (...) regarding drinking paper smoke called tobacco and perfume.
The end of the manuscript: This is what was easy to write based on the questions of that honorable gentleman (...) That is why I called it Al-Lam’ fi Al-Ishara fi Hakam Tabg, for God Almighty’s victory in helping time and reviewing what was transmitted has expanded what we found, God Almighty willing, in another part called Ain Al-Isaba fi Hakam Tabbah, and by God Almighty there is no Lord other than Him, success (...) It ended with the praise of God.
