The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) The best of what is uttered by the tongue and written by the pen is praise for the one who created man and taught him what he did not know (...) As for what follows, the poor and sinful servant Muhammad bin Al-Hasan Banani says (...) When the explanation of the most perfect Sheikh (...) Abdul Baqi bin Yusuf Al-Zarqani was based on the summary of the venerable Sheikh Abu Al-Mawaddah Khalil (...) and I called it the divine conquest, in what Al-Zarqani was astonished about.
The end of the manuscript: As an obligation before the appointed time, say Z and make up for it and perform the Hajj al-Islam, etc., which requires that they have two proofs (...) and the apparent meaning of what Al-Lakhmi narrated is according to the common people (H.), and thus you will know the shortcomings in what Z and his father said, and God is the Granter of success. The first quarter of the footnote of Sheikh Abu Abdullah Sidi Muhammad bin Al-Hassan Bennani ended, and the completion of its writing was on the 24th of Jumada Al-Awwal in the year 1249 AH.
