Notes	Praise be to God alone May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family, the servant of the highest station in God, the most honorable jurist, the wisest scholar, the most guided, the selector, the most glorious, the most happiest ruler, Sir Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace and mercy of God be upon you in the presence of our master, may God grant him victory. After your best letter regarding the approach of Ali ibn Abd al-Wardi and Idris ibn Yahya al-Nasab has been sent to us, we have directed them to you to meet their invitation with their opponent, Ibn al-Tahir ibn Ahmad al-Hajwi, and they were before you in court in court. What is the matter between them? You arrested the aforementioned Idris in prison in Fez, investigated their summons, released them from prison, ordered them to practice the law in the Idrisiya district, and the aforementioned Ibn al-Tahir mentioned to you that he had summoned them to you, and you sent your friend to them. However, he did not find anyone to bear witness to their summons, in every way and time, and we inform you that the aforementioned Ali and Idris are poor people who are living in their livelihood, and the aforementioned Ibn al-Tahir is walking with injustice to them. Accordingly, we would like, out of your full kindness and affection, for you to spare the aforementioned Ibn al-Tahir, Ali, and Idris. The two mentioned ones, and if he follows them with something legal, it will be deposited with him, and for the love of our Master, and peace be upon him on the 4th of Rajab in the year 1284, with the permission of your beloved Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Wardi, may God grant him success.
